Rabiu Kwankwaso Urges Nigerian Government: Protect Dangote Refinery at All Costs

On Wednesday, prominent politician Rabiu Kwankwaso emphasized the importance of the Nigerian government ensuring the success of the Dangote refinery.

Kwankwaso expressed disappointment at some government officials who have cast doubt on the integrity of Dangote’s refinery.

The founder of the refinery, Aliko Dangote, has accused the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited of hindering the refinery’s operations.

Addressing the ongoing conflict between Dangote and the government, Kwankwaso called for fairness in handling such a significant project.

Sharing his thoughts on X, Kwankwaso remarked, “I recently visited the impressive Dangote Refinery and was truly impressed by the dedication evident in its construction.

“With a capacity of 650,000 bpd, this refinery is crucial for our energy requirements and economic stability, and it must be shielded from any threats.

“The unnecessary controversy surrounding its credibility instigated by some vested interests is regrettable and could undermine the years of effort aimed at maintaining delicate investor trust in our economy.

“It is imperative that we unite to support this national asset and prevent the failure of this monumental project. Failure is not an option, and the Nigerian government needs to recognize this by promoting transparency and fostering trust in both local and foreign essential investments.”
