Protesters in Port Harcourt Stage Rally against Bad Governance, Block Governor Fubara’s Convoy

On a Saturday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, demonstrators obstructed Governor Siminilaye Fubara’s motorcade, demanding his presence to address them, as reported by Channels Television.

The incident occurred during the third day of protests in the Niger Delta Region, where protesters, carrying green branches and chanting enthusiastically, lined the streets calling for an end to poor governance.

Despite the interruption, the governor’s convoy eventually passed through while the protest activities continued.

Since the commencement of the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations on August 1, 2024, protesters in Port Harcourt have gathered at Pleasure Park daily, brandishing placards and refusing to disperse until their grievances are addressed.

Synchronized with the ongoing rally in Ojota Lagos, Federal Capital Territory Abuja, and various other states, the Day 3 protest highlighted the collective voice against corruption and ineffective governance.
