Protesters in Abuja Shift Location from National Stadium to Berger Roundabout

EndBadGovernance demonstrators in Abuja have decided to move from Moshood Abiola Stadium and convene at the well-known Berger Roundabout.

A ruling by an FCT High Court earlier in the week had directed the protesters to confine their activities to the stadium.

Adhering to this directive, the protesters came together at the stadium on Thursday but resisted attempts by security forces to confine them to the venue.

Subsequently, the protesters departed from the stadium and marched in unity following reports of fellow protesters facing harassment by security personnel at Eagles Square.

Upon reaching the location, the officers stationed there resorted to using tear gas on the crowd.

Our correspondent, who visited the stadium at 7 am on Friday, observed an absence of protesters but later discovered the revised gathering spot.

At the time of reporting, the protesters were assembling at the Berger Roundabout.
