Prophet El-Buba Urges Tinubu and NASS to Stop Extravagant Living at the Expense of Ordinary Nigerians

A message from the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) has been conveyed to President Bola Tinubu, members of the National Assembly, and their associates, urging them to refrain from luxurious lifestyles that burden the majority of citizens.

The group also appealed to the President to demonstrate sensitivity and leadership by making sacrifices, including reducing excessive governmental expenditures, in order to alleviate the challenges faced by everyday Nigerians.

Prophet Isa El-Buba, the Convener of IBBN, shared these sentiments during a press briefing in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, on Monday.

El-Buba emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among Nigerians in striving for a better nation, highlighting the recent peaceful protests as a testament to the collective desire for improved governance.

While acknowledging the peaceful nature of the protests, he expressed solidarity with those who faced violence and urged for a continued commitment to non-violent resistance against injustice and corruption.

El-Buba raised concerns about the challenging circumstances faced by many Nigerians and criticized the disproportionate living standards between political leaders and the general populace.

He called on President Tinubu and other officials to address pressing issues such as economic policies, government spending, and corruption to alleviate the hardships experienced by ordinary citizens.

The key demands included calls for a reduction in government spending, addressing economic policies, and implementing measures to combat corruption for the betterment of all Nigerians.

El-Buba encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and united in their quest for a better future, emphasizing the importance of peaceful activism until substantive changes are realized.
