Progress on Troost-Ekong’s Injury Comeback

After a period of injury, Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong is close to making a comeback to action.

Following a surgery in February due to an injury sustained during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the centre-back, and MVP of the tournament, is now on the road to recovery.

In a recent Instagram post, the 30-year-old shared his initiation of light training and physical exercises, showcasing his commitment through hard work on the grass.

It is anticipated that Troost-Ekong will return to play before the current season concludes and will be ready for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin scheduled for June.
