Prince William’s godmother, Lady Susan Hussey offers to meet black campaigner Ngozi Fulani to apologise for asking her ‘What part of Africa are you from?’

The godmother of Prince William, Lady Susan Hussey, has expressed her willingness to arrange a personal meeting with Ngozi Fulani, a British charity campaigner, who accused her of racial ‘abuse.’ According to sources, the 83-year-old former lady-in-waiting to the late Queen is keen to offer a direct apology to the British-Nigerian campaigner.

Contrary to earlier suggestions, Palace officials have reached out to Ngozi Fulani through various channels, including Safe Lives, in order to convey their ‘profound’ regret for the ‘unacceptable’ comments. They have expressed a strong desire to engage with her when she feels ready to do so.

Ngozi Fulani recounted feeling ‘violated’ after Lady Susan allegedly ‘interrogated’ her about her origins at a Palace reception, despite her stating that she is British. Following the public disclosure of their conversation by Ngozi Fulani, Buckingham Palace announced Lady Susan’s resignation from her honorary post as a ‘Lady of the Household’ and extended profound apologies for any offense caused.

Despite the acknowledged comments, sources emphasize that ‘absolutely no malice was intended,’ and Lady Susan voluntarily decided to step aside, out of loyalty and to avoid further embarrassment to the King and Crown.

It has been noted that Lady Susan is receiving personal support and has been considerably distressed by the situation. Her quick resignation is viewed as a voluntary act of service and loyalty within the Palace. Officials are hopeful that if Ngozi Fulani accepts their offer to discuss the incident with Lady Susan, it will lead to valuable lessons being learned and cooperation moving forward.
