Primate Ayodele: Protest – Tinubu Angers Nigeria’s Forefathers such as Awolowo and Azikiwe

According to Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, the esteemed forefathers of Nigeria such as Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikwe, Tafawa Balewa, Anthony Enahoro, and MKO Abiola, are displeased with the current state of affairs in Nigeria.

Primate Ayodele’s statement comes in response to allegations made by the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, suggesting that a senator was backing the protests in the capital city by providing support to the demonstrators.

Dismissing Wike’s claims, Primate Ayodele emphasized that it is the administration of President Bola Tinubu that has sparked the anger of Nigeria’s founding fathers.

In a communication from his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele remarked that figures like Wike, along with traditional rulers and politicians, are misleading President Tinubu and urged him to ignore these deceivers and confront reality head-on.

Ayodele advised Tinubu to refrain from supplying resources to corrupt governors for the general public, as this would not alleviate the situation.

Expressing his concern, Ayodele’s spokesperson further stated, “There is excessive deceit surrounding you; influential figures in Abuja, your daughter, and various traditional rulers are all deceiving you. Listen to the common citizens who supported you rather than those who did not vote for you.”

Highlighting widespread dissatisfaction, the clergyman’s spokesperson emphasized, “The ongoing protest signifies a negative trend that can be managed without much difficulty. The responsibility lies with the lawmakers, senators, and governors who are equally accountable for the situation, not solely the federal government.”

The statement continued, “The president should refrain from providing resources to these governors for the common Nigerians.”

Ayodele concluded by underscoring, “No external instigation is needed; the discontent is widespread, even among the revered forefathers of our nation like Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikwe, Tafawa Balewa, Anthony Enahoro, and MKO Abiola.”
