Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised Victor Osimhen against leaving Napoli for Chelsea during this summer’s transfer window.
With an anticipated departure from Napoli, Osimhen is attracting interest from various clubs, with Chelsea being considered a strong contender for his signature. Reports suggest that Chelsea is willing to offer two players as part of the deal.
In a video shared on ESPN’s X account, Ayodele has made a prediction regarding Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea, stating that he believes Osimhen “will not excel” if he makes the switch.
He expressed, “I feel compelled to caution against Osimhen’s move to Chelsea. My vision indicates that his career will not prosper there, and it may even have detrimental effects.”
Moreover, Ayodele indicated his stance on the matter, urging the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to reconsider selecting Osimhen for the national team should he join Chelsea. He emphasized the significance of evaluating the situation thoroughly, as he believes Nigeria has the capability to triumph in the World Cup and Nations Cup.
