Price enforcement campaign carried out by the Nigerian government in Abuja supermarkets

Enforcement of price display and quantity compliance at supermarkets in Abuja is being led by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, FCCPC.

The campaign was launched at 4U Supermarket, located in Wuse 2 Abuja, on Thursday.

This action is in direct response to consumer concerns regarding the increasing costs of goods, which contradict the recent strengthening of the naira.

The Commission highlighted that price inconsistencies continue to be a notable issue.

It emphasized the consumers’ right to have access to information about the prices of products they wish to buy.
