The Nigeria National League (NNL) chairman, George Aluo has charged EL-Kanemi Warriors to go all out for victory in the President Federation Cup final against Abia Warriors.
Aluo believed that the impressive run of form of the Borno Army in both the NNL and the Federation Cup is an indication that they can lift the trophy.
He urged Aliyu Zubairu’s side to maintain their winning run in the final.
Aluo pointed out that their victory would further prove that the NNL is truly the most important league in the country.
“As football fans eagerly await the finals of this year’s Federation Cup, I must commend the NFF and their strategic partners, GTI for what they have done to bring back the glamour of the most prestigious football tournament in the country,” he declared to the media ahead of the final.
“History will always remember them as those who changed the narratives of Nigerian football and I will be ever grateful to them.”
The winner of the President Federation Cup will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup alongside Enyimba.
