President Donald Trump Donates His $100,000 Salary in Support of Coronavirus Fight

President Donald Trump, who has continuously donated his salary payments to government agencies or initiatives, chose to donate his salary for the fourth quarter of 2019 to the Department of Health and Human Services to aid in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak in the US.

Following a visit to the National Institute of Health to meet with top immunologist Anthony Fauci, President Trump made the donation. This comes as the US confirms 100 cases of coronavirus and records nine deaths in Washington.

President Trump’s annual salary amounts to $400,000, with $100,000 paid every three months.
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham shared an image of the $100,000 check from President Trump to HHS Secretary Alex Azar on Twitter.
