Positive Outlook on Abia State for Investment by UK-based Industrialist

Chief Charles Lawrence Nwangwa, an Abia native based in the United Kingdom and an industrialist, shared that Abia State is now highly favorable for investments, particularly for those residing abroad.

Speaking in the UK during the New Yam festival celebrated by the Igbo community, Chief Nwangwa commended Governor Alex Otti for his effective leadership, remarking on how Otti has successfully positioned Abia State as an attractive hub for investors. He emphasized the state’s proactive approach in welcoming diaspora investments.

He mentioned, “Abia State presents a comprehensive strategy for diaspora investments. Individuals with promising investment proposals are encouraged to directly engage with state authorities, including the governor himself.”

“Governor Otti is dedicated to fostering investment, positioning Abia as a prime investment destination.”

Highlighting Otti’s accomplishments as a result of his extensive experience, Nwangwa praised the advancements Abia State has achieved under Otti’s administration, advocating for further investments in the region.

Despite acknowledging some security challenges, Chief Nwangwa affirmed Otti’s governance prowess, asserting that Abia currently stands as the safest state in the South-Eastern region.

He added, “Despite minor security concerns in certain areas, the governor’s adept management has preserved peace and steered the state towards progress.”

Within the event, the industrialist expressed his admiration for the Igbo Union in the UK, commending the group’s efforts in nurturing a resilient community overseas.

Additionally, Chief Kenneth Ofoegbu, a prominent figure at the gathering known as ‘Aba Boy,’ voiced his pride in Governor Otti’s achievements, underscoring the UK-based Nigerians’ perception of Otti as a beacon of good governance in Nigeria, noting that Otti’s actions speak louder than words in accomplishing substantial feats.
