Positive Coronavirus Test Confirmed in Brighton Player

Brighton & Hove Albion, a Premier League club, has announced that a member of their squad tested positive for coronavirus. However, they have not revealed the identity of the affected player.

The club’s chief executive, Paul Barber, confirmed the news, stating that three unidentified squad members displayed Covid-19 symptoms and underwent testing, with one receiving a positive result.

“We’ve had three players tested, one has tested positive. We’re not testing them routinely, we’re only testing them when symptoms emerge,” Barber said during a virtual press conference on Thursday.

“But the one that tested positive was just today, so that’s unfortunate but he’s OK and he’s obviously getting the care that he needs at the moment.”
