Expressing his disappointment, Portable has taken to social media to call out Davido for not fulfilling his promise to collaborate on a verse.
The reason behind Davido’s decision to withhold the verse for Portable’s new song stems from a disagreement that occurred between them in Atlanta.
Their falling out traces back to June 2024 when Portable accused Davido of offering him poor advice during a dinner in Atlanta, United States.
In response to the conflict, Davido decided to unfollow Portable on Instagram.
Subsequently, Portable shared his latest release on his official Instagram account on Sunday and mentioned that the song was intended to feature a verse from Davido, as promised.
On Instagram, he stated: “The one who promises to help you may change their mind. As Davido did not oblige with a verse for this song, I have decided to release it on my own. A star shines by itself. Don’t beg to showcase your talent. The ones who truly want to help you will not make it difficult for you.”
