Amid the ongoing #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement in Nigeria, Burna Boy, a globally recognized musician, has strongly refuted any ties with politicians.
His statement comes as the country faces widespread protests marked by instances of violence and looting.
In a post on social media platform X, Burna Boy stated, “I have never received any favors from any politician. If you doubt me, ask Wike about the property or money he supposedly gave me. I am not in anyone’s pocket.”
This declaration is a response to rumors and accusations circulating on X about his alleged links with political figures, including the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike.
Meanwhile, protests under the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria banner have turned violent in certain regions.
In Kano State, hoodlums ransacked and set fire to the newly constructed Nigeria Communication Commission Industrial Park, which was just days away from its official opening.
Reports from eyewitnesses and online images showed young people fleeing the area with stolen goods that included “computers, furniture, and electronics.”
