Political Defections in Ebonyi State: PDP and LP Members Join APC

At Ndufu Alike ward in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, a group of individuals who were formerly members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) have made a switch to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defectors were welcomed at Ndufu Alike junction where the representative for Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chinedu Ogah, praised their decision to join the APC.

Recognition was given to the ward party leaders for their efforts and dedication to the party.

Ogah, the lawmaker, assured the new APC members of their inclusion and encouraged the residents of Ndufu Alike ward to continue supporting the effective governance of Governor Francis Nwifuru in Ebonyi State.

During their speeches, the former PDP and Labour Party members expressed their view of their former parties as lacking strength in the state. They pledged to put in strenuous efforts in ensuring that the party gains significant influence at the grassroots level constantly.

Notable figures present during the defection included Hon. Uchenna Nwanchor, the ward Chairman; Hon. Osita Ogidi Ali, the Coordinator; Apostle Emmanuel Mbam; the Ward Councillor, Hon. Sunday Nworie; and Women leader, Nweke Elizabeth, among others.
