Policeman’s Suicide Note Requests Colleagues to Settle His Debts with Funeral Contributions

Reports have emerged that a police officer stationed at Changamwe Police Station in Mombasa, Kenya, has taken his own life.

Addressed to the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), the officer’s letter indicates his desire for his death to be deemed natural, as he no longer wishes to live.

Additionally, the unidentified officer urged his colleagues to use contributions towards his funeral to assist a fellow officer named sergeant Maina, highlighting his own indebtedness in the suicide note. He also provided the mobile phone numbers of two women, requesting that the OCS send them money from the contributions.

The officer implored his superior to handle the matter with confidentiality and to protect his reputation in the eyes of his family.

The letter contained the following message:

“First of all, I would like to thank you for the time we have worked together. My time to live on earth has come to an end. I do not have any other reason, just take it as a natural death and take me home, sir. Secondly, I would like you to form a donation WhatsApp group.
