Policeman allegedly attacks Cross River State COVID-19 Task Force for asking him to wear face mask

The Cross River State COVID-19 Task Force reportedly encountered an altercation with a policeman who allegedly attacked them after being asked to wear a face mask. Eval Asikong, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Strategic Planning and a member of the task force, reported the incident. Asikong stated that he had to involve the Chief Security Officer to the Governor, and the officer was subsequently arrested and detained. Asikong emphasized the importance of adhering to the state’s directives during the COVID-19 emergency period and declared that stricter measures will be implemented until the battle against the virus is won.
