Sympathizers brought the bleeding victim to the station, where she reported the injuries allegedly inflicted by the suspect.

Hundeyin indicated that the victim recounted the incident to the police, revealing that her ex-husband, Olamilekan Morekeji, attacked her around Bako Estate, at Weighbridge Ajegunle, when she was going to her shop.

According to the victim, her ex-husband struck her on the head with a large stone after she responded to his inquiry about their children in a way that angered him.
