The Katsina State Police Command has announced the killing of a notorious kidnapper, Abubakar Nayabale, and the rescue of a victim in Kurfi Local Government Area. Additionally, they also apprehended another notorious bandit, Tanimu Salisu.
According to SP Gambo Isah, the command’s spokesperson, the incident occurred when eight armed bandits on motorbikes attacked Kumare village, kidnapping a 55-year-old man named Yahaya Tella. However, the police swiftly responded, engaging the criminals in a gun duel and successfully neutralizing Nayabale. They also arrested Salisu, rescued the victim, and seized two Boxer motorcycles. Unfortunately, during the confrontation, one member of the Vigilante lost his life. The police assured that investigations are ongoing.
