Plane skids off runway: Dana Air issues apology to passengers

Following the runway incident at Lagos Airport, Dana Air has issued an apology to affected passengers and is adjusting its flight schedule accordingly.

In a statement released by Mr Kingsley Ezenwa, the Head of Corporate Communications in Lagos, the airline expressed regret over the situation.

The event occurred on Tuesday morning when a Dana aircraft skidded off the runway at Murtala Mohammed Airport in Ikeja during a landing attempt on its journey from Abuja to Lagos.

The disruption caused by the incident involving the aircraft with registration number 5N BKI prompted the need for flight rescheduling.

Dana Air conveyed its sincere apologies to the passengers affected by the schedule changes resulting from the runway excursion in Lagos.

The airline acknowledged the inconvenience faced by passengers and assured that all remaining flights for the day have been rescheduled, with affected passengers being notified through email, SMS, and calls.

Passengers were reassured that efforts were being made to minimize disruptions and cater to their travel requirements.
