Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State Establishes Grievance Channel for Primary Election Concerns

Mr. Sunday Bisi, the Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, has called on party members to submit any grievances they may have regarding the local government primary election process to his office for resolution.

Amid allegations of candidate imposition for the forthcoming local government elections in the state, Mr. Bisi addressed concerns raised by aspirants vying for the party’s chairmanship ticket on Friday, assuring that all legitimate complaints would be thoroughly investigated.

Encouraging party members to make use of the internal mechanisms to address their grievances, the PDP chairman stressed the leadership’s dedication to ensuring fairness and justice.

Highlighting the high popularity of the PDP in Osun State leading to fierce competition for the party’s tickets, Bisi urged concerned individuals to document their complaints and submit them to the state leadership for review.

Additionally, he reaffirmed the party’s stance against any form of injustice, underscoring that the primary process includes avenues for appeals even post-declaration of a winner.

“The PDP is a widely favored platform in Osun State, resulting in a surge of interest and controversy surrounding our primary process due to the excellent performance of our Governor,” stated Bisi.

Recognizing reported complaints in specific local governments, he assured that they would be resolved amicably, inviting individuals to engage with the state leadership for a stronger PDP outcome.

“Having expressed concerns, it is now time to engage with the state leadership for resolution. The PDP continues to stand as a robust electoral platform promoting a conflict resolution mechanism within our party family,” Bisi emphasized.
