In a recent interview with Olumide Iyanda, QEDNG’s publisher, veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle, praised his ex-wife, Ireti, for being a top-notch mother.
Reflecting on their divorce, Patrick expressed his lack of animosity towards Ireti and clarified a Facebook post from 2018 that seemed like an apology to her.
He emphasized, “Ireti is an exceptional mother and provider for her children, especially my daughter. I bear no ill will towards her. When it comes to maternal care, she excels in every aspect.”
Discussing the responsibilities within a marriage, Patrick mentioned, “It’s a man’s duty to recognize when his partner may not be content. The stability of the home rests on the shoulders of the head of the household. My intention was to alleviate any tensions that may have existed at that time.”
Notably, Patrick and Ireti, who is 57 years old, tied the knot in 2004 but officially parted ways in 2023, with the actress confirming their divorce.
The former couple shares five children.
