Ex Super Eagles Player lands in hot water, Sued To Court For Brutally Beating His Wife Ex-Nigeria Super Eagles Footballer, Godwin Okpara, was on Thursdsay arraigned by Ikeja Magistrates Court, Lagos, for beating his wife, Linda Oladoyinbo Opara. Okpara, 43, was arraigned before Magistrates B.O Osunsanmi on a one-count charge of assault and wife battery. The prosecutor, ASP S.Imhonwa, told the court that the defendant, sometimes in August 2016 at their residence at No 6, 8 Oduduwa Street in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, unlawfully assaulted his wife of 25 years by flogging her with sticks and other dangerous weapons.
