Shehu Sani Receives N10m Bail
The former Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Shehu Sani, has been granted N10m bail by a federal high court in Abuja.
Shehu Sani was granted bail on Monday January 27, following his lawyer Abdul Ibrahim's argument of the need for him to take care of his family, businesses, and adequately prepare for trial after being arraigned on a two-count charge of bribery.
Despite opposition from EFCC's counsel Abba Mohammed, Shehu Sani was granted bail of N10m by Justice Inyang Ekwo. The judge stated that the prosecution did not provide sufficient reasons why the defendant should not be admitted to bail.
