Recognition for Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh in Abuja

In a significant gesture, a major road in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has been dedicated to the memory of late Dr. Stella Adadevoh, the physician who played a pivotal role in averting an Ebola epidemic in Nigeria in 2014.     The road, situated along Ahmadu Bello Way near the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre, has been renamed in honor of Adadevoh, approximately six years following her passing from the disease in Lagos.   Adadevoh tragically lost her life in August 2014 while preventing a Liberian man, Patrick Sawyerr, from leaving her hospital after she diagnosed him with the deadly Ebola virus.   Numerous appeals have been made by the Nigerian public for the government to appropriately recognize the late medical doctor's contributions.

Deontay Wilder aims to surpass Muhammad Ali and envisions Fury rematch exceeding Mayweather vs Pacquiao

Unbeaten WBC Heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, has pledged to outdo his "idol" Muhammad Ali by knocking out Tyson Fury in Las Vegas. He also believes his fight with Fury has the potential to surpass the money-spinning Mayweather-Pacquiao clash of 2018.                                       Fury and Wilder's much-criticized draw in December 2018 saw Fury winning 10 rounds but being knocked down by Wilder in 2, resulting in a draw as per the judges' decision. The 34-year-old American Wilder could soon follow in the footsteps of heavyweight greats like Joe Louis, Larry Holmes, and Wladimir Klitschko if he defeats Fury. The British boxer, however, has promised to secure a knockout in the upcoming rematch. Wilder would then be just behind Muhammad Ali, who also...
