Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, received criticism from Speed Darlington over the questionable wealth he has accumulated.    Reacting to a photo in which the ex-lawmaker flaunted his collection of cars, the singer pointed out that Melaye's sole occupation was being a Nigerian senator.   Speed Darlington expressed satisfaction that the Kogi-born politician did not emerge victorious in the governorship election, stating that "one man should not possess such vast wealth".    His remarks read;    Oh my God, look at one man’s wealth and all he had to do was be a Nigerian senator. Good thing he did not win the governorship; they broke his leg during that election. No one man should have this much wealth and his only job was to be a senator

EFCC arraigns man for allegedly obtaining $4,500 in love scam

The Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has brought charges against one Iyonsi Timeyin Timothy before Justice Sherifat Solebo of the Special Offences Court, Ikeja, Lagos. Timothy faces a two-count charge related to possession of fraudulent documents and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of $4,500. According to the charges, Timothy is accused of obtaining $4,500 from one Julia Zagorski under false pretenses of a "romance scam" in September 2019. The prosecution counsel, K. Uduak, requested a trial date and for the defendant to be remanded in Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) facility after Timothy pleaded not guilty to the charges.
