NSCDC finds Indian hemp farm in a school compound in Anambra

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has discovered an Indian hemp farm inside a school compound in Anambra State. A 45-year-old man named Amobi Okafor, who is said to be the owner of the farm located inside Lake City Secondary School in Nri community of Anaocha Local Government Area, was initially arrested for allegedly attacking a security guard in the school with a machete during an altercation before the discovery was made. Teacher arrested for allegedly spreading false news about the kidnapping of Kaduna Doctor’s wife and children

An individual named Grace Ibrahim, a 34-year-old female teacher, has been apprehended by the Intelligence Response Team of the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters for allegedly disseminating misleading information concerning the abduction of Dr. Philip Ataga's wife and two children in Kaduna State.   Grace has been accused of spreading rumors linking a policeman to the kidnapping of the Kaduna doctor's family, stating that one of the children identified a neighbor who is a policeman as the person who ordered the shooting of their mother.   During her presentation at the Force headquarters, the woman expressed regret and admitted to not verifying the report before sharing it on social media, acknowledging any harm it may have caused.

Authorities have apprehended Muyiwa Otuyalo, a 60-year-old fish farmer, for attempting to smuggle a substance suspected to be a hard drug to his son, Damilola Otuyalo, who is currently detained at the EFCC in its Ibadan zonal office.
