Eniola Aluko appointed as Aston Villa’s inaugural Women’s sporting director
Eni Aluko, the former England Women striker, has been appointed as the sporting director of Aston Villa Women.
The 32-year-old former Nigerian-British footballer, who earned 102 caps for England during her career, recently announced her retirement from playing after leaving Juventus Women.
Upon being named the first-ever sporting director of Villa Women, Aluko, who previously played for Chelsea and Juventus, expressed her gratitude towards several individuals who assisted her in securing the position, including Aston Villa assistant coach, John Terry.
