US Coronavirus death toll exceeds China’s
The number of coronavirus-related deaths in the United States has now surpassed that of China, according to data released by Johns Hopkins University on Tuesday. The university reported 3,415 deaths in the US, exceeding China's official tally of 3,309. Italy currently holds the highest number of fatalities at 12,428, followed by Spain with 8,269 deaths, and then the United States. The US also leads in the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases with 175,067, followed by Italy with 105,792, Spain with 94,417, and China with 82,278 cases. Meanwhile, China has reported 48 new cases and one death in the past 24 hours.
