Elizabeth Warren Resigns from Presidential Race Following Disastrous Super Tuesday Results
Following her poor performance in the recent primary poll, Democratic presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren has ended her campaign.
The Massachusetts senator made the announcement on Thursday, March 5, after managing to gather only 65 delegates.
She was unable to secure a victory in any state on Tuesday, including her home state where her rival, Joe Biden, emerged as the winner.
To clinch the Democratic nomination, a minimum of 1,991 delegates is required. The winner is expected to be determined in July after subsequent primaries. Currently, former Vice President Joe Biden leads with 595 delegates.
