Outrage over Ugandan pastor’s controversial comments on Christian marriage vow
Ugandan Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of the Makerere based House of Prayer Ministries International has drawn criticism from religious leaders for dismissing Christian marriage vows as unbiblical and satanic.
The pastor recently stirred controversy by claiming that the marriage vow "Till death do us part" is not found anywhere in the Holy Bible.
In a Sunday congregation, he stated, "I’ve read the bible countless times, but I know of no verse in there where God says ‘only death will part the married. I also haven’t seen a couple in the bible, saying ‘till death do us part.” He went on to label this vow as not only unbiblical but also “satanic.”
