EU Condemns President Trump’s Unilateral Travel Ban from Europe
The European Union has criticized the new travel ban imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on travelers from European countries on Thursday due to the Coronavirus epidemic, describing Trump's decision as a “unilateral” action taken “without consultation.”
Europe has been severely affected by the Coronavirus, with Italy being the hardest hit. Trump announced travel restrictions against European countries excluding the UK and Ireland, citing Europe's insufficient efforts to contain the deadly virus.
