Nigerian Muslim lady shares her experience of being sent home from work in the US for wearing a hijab along with videos
A Nigerian Muslim lady, Folake Adebola, who resides in the US, took to Twitter to share her story of getting sent home from her job in Fort Worth, Dallas, for wearing a hijab.
Folake, who is 22 years old, revealed that she converted to Islam in August 2019 before she started working at Chicken Express restaurant in October 2019. She mentioned that the day she was sent home was the first time she wore the hijab to work.
She disclosed that she had informed her employer about being a Muslim before being employed. In a short video she shared, she can be seen being confronted by her boss while she pleaded with him, saying "It's part of my religion...
