Adamawa CAN chairman, Lawan Andimi abducted by Boko Haram, cries out for help in new video
The chief of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Adamawa state, Lawan Andimi, has been taken by Boko Haram, who made a plea for help in a newly released video. The sect kidnapped Andimi during an attack on Michika community in Adamawa state on January 3rd. In a video obtained by journalist Ahmad Salkida, Andimi is seen appealing to his colleagues in CAN and the Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umoru Fintri, for his safe return. Speaking in Hausa and English, Andimi praised his captors for their treatment and urged his family and colleagues to remain patient and look after his children.
