Rescue Operation at Ogun River: Man Saved from Attempted Suicide (see photos)

Today on June 24, a 36-year-old man named Fatai Oyedele was rescued after attempting to commit suicide at the popular Ogun River in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.   Witnesses reported that the man arrived at the river around 1pm and tried to plunge into it. Thankfully, he was saved by men from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps.   Confirming the incident, Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson of Ogun TRACE Corps, mentioned that the married man, who has five children, expressed frustration with his life.    He was later taken to the police station in Adigbe.
