According to reports, a man brutally assaulted his wife, later taking to Facebook to shamelessly brag about it and challenge the authorities to arrest him.   The individual, who goes by the username Afobaje Maiyegun on Facebook, implied that the altercation arose from his interaction with another woman.   He callously shared images of his injured spouse along with the message: "I beat my wife and am waiting for the police because I talk to a woman."     Despite the post being shared a week ago, it only recently gained widespread attention on Facebook with users rightly condemning his actions.       Below are a few of the reactions from Facebook users.

Gombe discharges 39 Coronavirus patients from isolation centres

Gombe state has released 39 Coronavirus patients from isolation centers after successful treatment. Idris Mohammed, the state's Chairman of the taskforce on COVID-19, reported that the patients were discharged on Tuesday, May 12, following negative test results from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
