Saudi Arabia's Minister announced on Tuesday, June 23, that approximately 1,000 pilgrims will be permitted to perform Hajj this year. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Hajj will have limited participation. Only a thousand pilgrims living in the kingdom will be able to take part in the ceremony this year. Thirteen Additional Imo Lawmakers Test Positive for COVID-19

COVID-19 has been confirmed in thirteen more lawmakers of the Imo state House of Assembly.   These new cases have emerged just six days after an unnamed lawmaker in the state tested positive for the virus.   Professor Maurice Iwu, the head of the state's Covid-19 task force, previously announced on Tuesday, June 16, that a member of the house of assembly had tested positive. Arrest of suspected armed bandit in Niger state

Niger state police have apprehended a man suspected of being an armed bandit, named Ibrahim Mohammed.   According to a statement by the command's spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, Mohammed was apprehended on June 13 during a stop and search operation along the Minna-Sarkin Pawa road by officers from the Sarkin-Pawa Division.   The police stopped and arrested a cyclist with two passengers. During a search, one of the passengers, later identified as Mohammed a.k.a Shagari from Mayigara Zaria LGA in Kaduna State, was found in possession of an Ak49 Rifle.
