Ghanaian Father Receives 20-Year Prison Sentence for Impregnating 14-Year-Old Daughter

An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced 42-year-old Daniel Kwame Baah to 20 years in prison for engaging in incest and impregnating his own daughter.   The trader was brought before the court last Friday on charges of defilement and incest.   Baah pleaded guilty to the charges, and the presiding judge, Christiana Cann, convicted him based on his own plea. The sentencing was deferred to Monday, February 24.   The convict forcibly had sexual intercourse with his daughter on multiple occasions, starting with an incident in June last year when he inserted his finger into her private part while she slept.   He proceeded to engage in sexual acts with her until she became pregnant.   The case was brought to light by the Girl Child Advocate at the Anyaa L/A Primary School, who noticed the pregn...
