JAMB orders ABU to offer girl medicine after being accused of denying her the course because she is a Christian
The request from the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, for the management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) to grant admission in Medicine to Miss Shekwobyalo, came after a review meeting with various stakeholders.
Despite her UTME score of 309, Miss Shekwobyalo accused the university of denying her admission in medicine because of her Christian faith. However, after the meeting, it was revealed that she was not the top candidate from Niger state. JAMB's registrar criticized ABU for pegging its Merit List at two candidates per state, stating that it was unfair.
