An unsettling development occurred in Taraba State as a vigilante group made a grim discovery of four bodies in a kidnappers' hideout nestled in a forest within the state.   The discovered corpses, all male, are believed to be those of some of the passengers who were abducted alongside six others on the Wukari-Jalingo road in January.    According to reports by Daily Trust, a vigilante group conducting a search for the victims stumbled upon the four bodies, which included the remains of the driver, identified as Adamu Wukari. The driver was laid to rest by his family on Wednesday, while the three other bodies remain in the forest.

On Friday, February 28, 2020, the Abuja Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended nine individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud at various locations in Abuja. According to a statement from the agency, the suspects, namely Daniel Archiobong, David Ikechukwu, Alex James, Williams Vincent, Sanni Lucas, Ichado Victor O, Ubah Henry, Anifowoshe Femi, and Akinseye Dipo, were rounded up in the early hours of the day. These suspects, aged between 21 and 25, comprise graduates, students from Oduduwa University in Osun State, and a National Youth Service Corps member.
