Ihedioha’s Return to Supreme Court for Judgment Review on Imo State Governorship Sack
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s Emeka Ihedioha is set to return to the Supreme Court on Monday, January 27, for a review of the judgment that removed him as the Governor of Imo State and installed Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the state's governor.
Addressing the press on Sunday, January 26, Ihedioha's associate, Dr. Manzo Abubakar, expressed doubts about the judgment, suggesting that it could tarnish Nigeria's reputation in the international community.
Manzo criticized the Supreme Court's decision, arguing that it deprived the people of Imo the right to choose their leader. He emphasized that the constitution outlines clear criteria for declaring a governorship candidate as the election winner.
