Trump snubs Pelosi's handshake during State of the Union address (photos/video)

The State of the Union address on Tuesday night at Capitol Hill witnessed a noticeable snub as US President Donald Trump refused to shake hands with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after giving her a copy of his written speech. Trump's actions were interpreted as a display of contempt towards Pelosi for her role in the impeachment effort against him. Traditionally, speakers introduce the president with the words, 'Members of Congress, I have the high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the President of the United States.' However, Pelosi deviated from this protocol and simply said, 'Members of Congress, the president of the United States.' Following Trump's speech, Pelosi dramatically tore apart her copy of the State of the Union address, a symbolic act that has been viewed as ...

Former Nigerian presidential aspirant Adamu Garba is once again making controversial statements, this time directed at women.   In response to his tweet suggesting that it's more important for a woman to hold the title of "wife" than to become a "female CBN governor," he faced criticism from some individuals, while others showed their support.   Without retracting his statement, he posted another tweet aimed at women.   He expressed: "Feminism is a waste of time. Once a woman, you are already feminine by nature. Why do you need additional ism? Any ism is extreme, and extreme femininity is extremism. God forbid Nigerian women from the menace of extremism called feminism. Nigerian women should all be married."
