Testimony of a Nigerian Trafficked to Lebanon: A Lebanese man living in Lagos promised to pay me $200 per month
Speaking from her experience, 31-year-old Kikelomo shared how she was promised $200 to care for the aged mother of a Lebanese man living in Lagos, only to be trafficked to Lebanon in October 2019 and treated as a slave.
She recounted how she was passed from one slave master to another and eventually landed in prison after expressing her desire to return to Nigeria upon realizing the deception.
After being rescued by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Kikelomo shared her ordeal at the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Lagos, following a complaint from her husband.
