EFCC Accused of Stealing Eagle in Logo following Response to Transparency International’s Rating of Nigeria

Allegations have been made against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for purportedly using a photo of an eagle in its logo amid its Twitter response to Transparency International's ranking of Nigeria as the 146th most corrupt country out of 180 in the world.   Transparency International's latest report places Nigeria at the 146th position out of 180 countries with a score of 26. In addition, it was ranked as the 16th most corrupt nation in Africa. Plateau records five cases of Lassa fever

The recent outbreak of Lassa fever in Plateau has been confirmed to have resulted in 5 cases, according to the State's Commissioner of Health, Dr Nimkong Ndam. In a statement made on Friday January 24, it was disclosed that two patients have been admitted at the state hospital, while three others are currently receiving treatment. The commissioner also mentioned that one patient has completed treatment and another has been discharged. Dr. Ndam assured the public that necessary measures are being taken to contain the disease and that health personnel are equipped with protective kits for handling such cases. He further emphasized their prompt response in addressing cases and preventing the spread of the disease.
