The EU finds no sign of progress in the battle against Boko Haram
The European parliament, which serves as the legislative arm of the European Union, has declared that there has been no advancement in the fight against Boko Haram.
In a resolution dated January 16, 2020, the consortium of 28 nations operating as a unified economic and political entity expressed its concern over the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria.
The group, lamenting the alleged mistreatment of children detained in military facilities, reminded the Nigerian government of its responsibility to safeguard the rights of children and to ensure the protection and care of those impacted by terrorism or conflict.
