Celebrating 21 Years since Kanu Nwankwo’s Signing with Arsenal
Arsenal Football club of England took to Twitter to commemorate the signing of legendary Nigerian player Kanu Nwankwo 21 years ago.
Kanu was brought in from Inter Milan for 4 million pounds on 15 January 1999 after being discovered by Arsene Wenger. He later went on to make 119 appearances for the North London club, scoring 44 goals, before leaving for West Bromwich Albion in 2004.
On the occasion of the signing, Arsenal shared a video of Kanu's top five goals scored at the club along with a Tweet.
