The Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police, Mr Imohimi Edgal, has ordered the arrest of a Police Inspector attached to the state police command, Bassey Ikpe, for alleged murder of a widow. Mr Odiko Macdon, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Uyo, on Wednesday. He said that the police commissioner had instructed the Deputy Commissioner, State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) to carry out thorough investigation into the matter. Man Arrested for Allegedly Engaging in Inappropriate Behavior with his Underaged Daughters in Lagos

Authorities in Lagos state have taken into custody a 40-year-old man, Terry Ikechukwu Iheme, for reportedly engaging in inappropriate behavior with his two under aged daughters in his residence situated at Igbo-olomu in Agric area of Ikorodu, Lagos.   The suspect, who worked as a senior driver with a company called Hi-Tech construction company in Lagos, was apprehended by officers from the Owutu Police Division on January 12th while attending a church service.   Following his apprehension, Iheme underwent questioning and was subsequently found to be at fault. He has been charged before the Ikorodu Magistrate Court 1, Ita Elewa, for defilement, which carries a penalty of life imprisonment if proven guilty of the alleged offense. ...
