Teaching Children Cooking Skills, Pastor Folu Adeboye Encourages Women

Pastor Folu Adeboye, the wife of RCCG General Overseer, has encouraged women to teach their children how to cook.   Her husband, Pastor Adeboye, sparked a conversation on Twitter when he advised his sons not to marry women who cannot cook. This led to discussions about the importance of women learning to cook before marriage. Report: SARS officers shoot two traders in Ogun while pursuing suspected yahoo boys

Two traders were taken to the hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun state on February 20th after being hit by stray bullets from SARS officers.   Reports indicate that the traders, who work at the Olomore Market, were in their shops when operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force entered the market. The SARS operatives were pursuing an internet fraudster, also known as a "Yahoo boy," leading to the firing of gunshots in the market.   The stray bullets from the SARS officers’ gunshots struck two pepper sellers. One victim was shot in the head while the other was shot in the leg. Resignation Announcement by Lesotho’s Prime Minister Thomas Thabane amidst Murder Charges by Police for His Estranged Wife

Lesotho Prime Minister, Thomas Thabane has made an announcement about his intention to resign by the end of July, as police prepare to charge him for the murder of his estranged wife, Lipolelo Thabane.   During a speech in Maseru on Thursday, Mr. Thabane stated his decision to step down in July, pending completion of "all the requisite preparations for my retirement," without addressing the case. His current wife, Maesaiah Thabane, has already been implicated in the murder.   Maesaiah Thabane was arrested and charged earlier this month for the murder of Prime Minister Thomas Thabane's estranged wife Lipolelo, who was shot dead near her home in Lesotho's capital, Maseru, on June 14, 2017. Officials of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce) have apprehended two individuals for posing as security personnel in Oshodi. Monday Job and Rasak Oloyede were taken into custody for allegedly pretending to be a Police Officer and an Army Officer, respectively. Senate moves to create agency to rehabilitate repentant Boko Haram members

The Nigerian Senate has introduced a new bill to establish an agency responsible for the rehabilitation, deradicalisation, and integration of repentant Boko Haram members in the country. The bill, sponsored by Senator Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe East senatorial district, was read for the first time during Thursday's plenary on February 20th. Last month, the Nigerian military reported that approximately 608 repentant insurgents were participating in the De-radicalisation, Rehabilitation and Reintegration (DRR) programme under Operation Safe Corridor in Malam-Sidi, Gombe State. The programme includes formal literacy classes, skills acquisition, Islamic Religious Knowledge (IRK), as well as drug and psychotherapy for the repentant sect members.
