Super Eagles star Ogenyi Onazi joins Denizlispor from Trabzonspor in Turkey (Photos)

Ogenyi Onazi, the Super Eagles midfielder, has made a move to another Turkish football club, Denizlispor, from Trabzonspor following the termination of his contract.   Trabzonspor announced Onazi's departure on their website, stating that his deal was ended by mutual termination, effectively making him a free agent.     Following the announcement, Denizlispor confirmed that they have successfully secured the signing of the former Lazio star.   The 27-year-old also used Instagram to confirm his transfer, sharing photos of himself and the club officials finalizing the deal.   In his caption, he wrote: 'The year started with BLESSING.. Denizli I am here.. let’s make the difference. I can’t wait for my first game'

INEC explains delay in issuing Certificate of Return to Imo governor-elect, Hope Uzodinma

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has explained the reason for the delay in issuing the Imo state governor-elect, Hope Uzodinma, his certificate of return.   According to the explanation, the Supreme Court's unanimous judgment on January 14th, which declared Uzodinma of the APC as the winner of the March 9th state governorship election and ordered INEC to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Emeka Ihedioha, is yet to be received by the commission.   As a result, the electoral commission is unable to immediately carry out the court's order.
