Al Shabaab militants strike primary school in Garissa, Kenya; Three teachers killed and one abducted
On Monday, Al Shabaab militants launched a deadly attack on Kamuthe primary school in Garissa, resulting in the killing of three primary school teachers and the abduction of another.
The assailants struck at 2am, shooting the teachers and taking one of them with them. A female nurse, possibly spared due to her gender, survived the attack. Additionally, the militants destroyed a communication mast and a child was injured by a stray bullet.
According to a senior officer, the attackers also set a police post ablaze before fleeing with the abducted teacher. "They have killed three teachers and our officers are pursuing them. They went away with another teacher," a witness stated.
